God is powerful. Prayer (communication with God) yields powerful results. Being faithful/constant/steadfast in prayer is biblical (Romans 12:12). While there are often gatherings for studying the Bible it is rare to hear of a gathering simply for prayer. How much is missed!
Community Prayer encourages you to gather weekly with a group of believers to pray collectively for the needs of your families, the community, our nation, and the world. This group could consist of people from your church, or could be developed to include brothers/sisters from across the community.
While some prayer groups spend most of the time sharing prayer requests and what's left of the hour actually praying, Community Prayer recommends quite the opposite. As the point and focus is on prayer during this time, the needs are naturally scattered among the participants, and the most important part - prayer - fills the time together as it should.
Feel free to follow our re-usable weekly prayer focus cards, and/or pray as the Holy Spirit leads.
