Why do we do this? Because we have been given much. And I don't mean much as in many things, but rather much as in the generosity of God.
God gives life. Both life here on earth and life after death. By choosing to believe in Him, and turning away from our own plans and ideas to follow his will for us, we are given the gift of eternal life with Him. And that's something to look forward to!
