It is always a special encouragement to receive fresh, home-baked goods. There is something about a taste or smell that creates or brings back memories.
There are many people who are alone, busy with work/family, or in a position due to health where they aren't able to create tasty home-made treats. Your skills and love of baking could be a real bright spot in their day/week.
Perhaps you already bake for your family and neighbors? We then encourage you to "think outside the usual box" and consider sharing your baked gifts with others you interact with in your broader circle of connections.
SUGGESTED DIRECTIONS
AREA OF INTEREST: baking, sharing ACTION: bake a bunch of yummy treats to share — cookies, cakes, breads, muffins, etc. Package them up, and make deliveries. These goodies could be given to:
neighbors
church workers
school staff
first responders
others you interact with daily/weekly — think creatively!
CONSIDER: depending on who you are baking for, consider that there might be food allergies/intolerances to work around. WHO: this project could be done individually, with your children, or with a group of friends. CONNECTION: most deliveries could be made without special contact, but if you decide to bake for a larger number, it might be a good idea to confirm with someone in leadership/management. INTERACTION: enjoy the delight found as you deliver! And stick around for a short visit at least if you can.
